A sustainable approach
Retrofit lighting reduces waste and supports the circular economy by extending the lifespan of existing systems. By working with our retrofit solutions, clients can meet sustainability targets while improving performance and reducing costs. A powerful new development is the BS 8887-221:2024 standard, part of the broader “MADE” framework (Manufacture, Assembly, Disassembly, End-of-Life). We follow the Design for Remanufacture (DfRem) principles, prioritising reuse wherever materials remain safe, functional and compliant with current standards.
Components that can’t be reused are recycled responsibly in line with WEEE and RoHS regulations. All remanufactured luminaires undergo full electrical safety testing, in accordance with BS EN 60598-1:2021. We can also provide TM65 and TM66 reporting to show the environmental impact and embodied carbon of the remanufactured product.
